It won’t stop!!! Multichain of Madness: Part Deux

Timeswap is now live on Arbitrum!

After Polygon and Ethereum, Arbitrum is the obvious choice. With a great ecosystem of projects and loyal users, it’s no surprise that Arbitrum szn is in full swing! Launching Timeswap gives Arbitrum users access to a truly permissionless and decentralised fixed-term money market. We help them unlock leverage on their capital, bringing us closer to our vision of making fixed-term financing accessible to all.

Why Arbitrum?

Short answer: it’s what our users wanted.

Long answer? We are always looking to expand our protocol to places where there is a real need for a decentralised money market that helps users leverage their capital in a better way. Arbitrum has been exploding in popularity over the past few months and the TIME is now!

What does Timeswap bring to the Arbitrum ecosystem?

We have seen a swarm of great protocols like GMX take the Arbitrum market by storm, but none of them replicates what Timeswap brings to the table: a fixed-term money market with no liquidations or oracle dependencies.

Due to the oracle dependencies, various promising tokens on Arbitrum are unable to be listed on money markets. Without proper oracle feeds, these tokens have near-zero chances of being accepted as collateral for leverage — a big loss in terms of capital efficiency which would hinder the growth of the space.

For example, a liquid-staked derivative of GMX as collateral would allow users to earn a chunk of GMX’s native yields (excl. esGMX) whilst using a portion of the unlocked capital to purchase and supply more GLP. This would allow GMX bulls to deepen the platform’s liquidity whilst maintaining their bags and earning rewards, which would in turn bring: better user experience → higher trading fees → more yields returned to GMX and GLP holders → increased value of the investor’s holdings. Which sounds super intuitive, but not possible, at least not yet!

So, we are Time Travelling to Arbitrum — inspired by our stellar performance on Polygon and Ethereum.

Pool Details

Following the launch of $ARB, there will be two pools going live.

URL: https://app.timeswap.io/

Network: Arbitrum One

1) Long

Pool: $USDC-$ARB

Expiry: 27th March 12pm UTC

Transition Price: $0.8 ARB/USDC

2) Short

Pool: $ARB-$USDC

Expiry: 27th March 12pm UTC

Transition Price: $2

The Short pool launches on 24th March, stay tuned!

What can users do with these pools?

  1. Lend $USDC/$ARB to earn fixed yields
  2. Borrow $USDC by using $ARB as collateral (essentially shorting $ARB) OR borrow $ARB by using $USDC as collateral (essentially longing $ARB), all whilst paying fixed interest.

$ARB holders can use the pool according to their conviction and risk profile. Airdrops are historically highly volatile, making a directional (leveraged) bet without any liquidation risks is huuuuge.

Here are some strategies using Timeswap pools. Be creative — make your own and unlock the endless possibilities (remember, without the fear of being liquidated)!

Remember, we still have pools live on Polygon and Ethereum!

Ready to swap tokens through time and leverage your airdrop? Go try out Timeswap on Arbitrum!
